Scott is the founder and broker of Collaborate Real Estate Group. He started the company in 2008 after buying his first Memphis investment property and running into every problem this business is supposed to solve.
Scott bought his first Memphis rental in 2008. Like a lot of new investors, he handed the property to a management company and expected the phone to stop ringing. It didn't. Communication was inconsistent. The reports were thin. Nobody was protecting the asset the way he would have.
After a couple of years of trying to make it work with three different local companies, he gave up on finding one and started his own. Collaborate Real Estate Group was built to be the management company Scott wished he could have hired that first year, one that treated the property like the person on the other end had skin in the game.
Scott leads the brokerage side of the business as the licensed principal broker for Tennessee. Day to day, that means owner relationships, market strategy, and being the person who reviews the harder calls: pricing on a difficult property, a resident situation that needs judgment, a repair scope that changes mid-project.
He's also usually the person owners talk to before they sign on. If you've asked us for a rental analysis, there's a good chance Scott is the one who reviewed it before it went to your inbox.
The reason we publish our fee schedule on the website is that I hated calling companies as an investor and getting a runaround on price. If the number doesn't work for you, I'd rather you know that in the first five seconds than the fifth phone call.

Scott lives in the Memphis area with his wife Lisa. Most weekends you'll find him on the golf course with his son Chandler.
